So who is this Ramblin' Wrench?

So who is this Ramblin' Wrench?

I'm Jim Brittain. I started wrenching on bikes shortly after I got back into them, a couple of decades ago...

I started by taking a class on maintaining my own bike, and found out I liked it, and that there was more and more I could do. I’ve built two bikes from parts, and maintain my wife’s bikes. I read everything I could get my hands on, and watched WAY too many Youtube videos. I started doing work for friends, and worked briefly in a bike shop… and now I can bring those skills to you. I’m a graduate of the Professional Repair and Shop Operation class at United Bicycle Institute, and hold their Certified Bicycle Technician Designation.

Above, you see me fixing a wheel with a broken spoke on a ride (the rider was able to get going again!). I’ve done any number of those “meatball” repairs outside the shop, and I’m co-manager at the New Brunswick Bike Exchange. I’ve seen a lot! Your bike will be safe (and happy!) with me.
