I’ve been out on a few rides over the winter, and on two of them, riders with electronic shifting have had problems with running out of charge. Batteries aren’t as reactive in the colder weather… but whether you’re out in the cold or not, now’s a good time to charge up those electronic shifting systems, before you get on the bike, and find you’re out on a ride, and stuck in a gear. (It’s also a good idea to replace those replaceable batteries, too; the quarter-coin-size CR2032 batteries aren’t hard to find… but they might be, when you’re out on the road!)
And if you notice your bike needs a bit of help, contact Ramblin’ Wrench to get set up.
